报告摘要:Some complex dynamics in biological systems may be due to multiple limit cycle bifurcation which can yield bistable or tristable phenomenon. In this talk, we present several biological systems to illustrate how such phenomenon may happen. In particular, we focus on higher-codimension degenerate Hopf bifurcation and Bogdanov-Takens (BT) bifurcation, which is not easy to analyze even for planar dynamical systems. We will show how to determine the codimension of degenerate Hopf bifurcation and BT bifurcation, which can be used to find the maximal number of bifurcating limit cycles. Moreover, we present one-step transformation in computing the normal form of higher-codimension BT bifurcation with unfolding using the parametric simplest normal form theory.
