报告摘要: We will talk about the Riemann-Hilbert method for solving soliton equations. The starting point is a pair of matrix eigenvalue problems, called a Lax pair. Matrix Riemann-Hilbert problems on the real axis will be formulated and used to compute the inverse scattering transform. Soliton solutions are linked to Riemann-Hilbert problems with an identity jump matrix. A combined modified KdV equation will be discussed as an illustrative example.
